Van Campen Liem assisted Peninsula in the EUR 1.98 billion sale of Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori S.p.A.

Van Campen Liem assisted Peninsula Investments II SCA (“Peninsula”) on the exit from their investment in Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori S.p.A. (“NTV”), the Italian private high-speed train operator, operating under the Italo brand.

Peninsula and the other shareholders of NTV have accepted a EUR 1.98 billion take-over offer by Global Infrastructure Partners fund. This has been one of the largest infrastructure deals in Italy in the last five years.

Van Campen Liem also assisted Peninsula in June 2017, when Peninsula purchased a participation in NTV from some of the existing shareholders.

The Van Campen Liem team consisted of Marcello Distaso, Eleni Kokkinou, Andrew de Vries, Eduardo Trancho and Aldo Schuurman.
