Van Campen Liem advised British Steel in connection with the acquisition of FNsteel

Van Campen Liem advised British Steel (itself owned by private equity firm Greybull Capital) in connection with the acquisition of 100% of the shares in FNsteel.

FNsteel – based in the Netherlands – is an independent developer, producer and distributor of customized long steel products for high-quality applications. In a modern rolling mill and state-of-the-art wire processing centre FNsteel produces untreated and treated wire rod and drawn wire. FNsteel products are used in the automotive, construction and general engineering industries.

British Steel – based in the UK – is one of the leading steel manufacturers in Europe, producing around 3 million tons of quality steel products every year and supplying them around the world. The acquisition of FNsteel complements the operations of British Steel, which enables British Steel to increase its product portfolio and offer a higher technical specification of rod to its customers. The acquisition of FNsteel is the latest development in the international expansion of British Steel, which has now manufacturing facilities across the UK, France and the Netherlands.

The Van Campen Liem team consisted of Aldo Schuurman, Sophie de Mandt, Ilona van den Bergh, Anna van Emde Boas en Ruby Vinkesteijn.
