Van Campen Liem is pleased to announce the election of Andrew de Vries as partner. The promotion was effective from January 1, 2018.
Andrew joined VCL upon its formation in 2012 and has been working with the core team for the past 9 years. He has over 9 years of experience in international taxation and is qualified in the Netherlands and admitted to practice in Luxembourg. His practice focuses on the asset management industry and mainly on international tax aspects relating to the set-up of private investment fund structures in Luxembourg and the Netherlands, deal structuring, joint ventures and cross border reorganisations. VCL is proud of the continued growth of the Luxembourg practice, in particular through the promotion of one of its homegrown senior associates and would like to congratulate Andrew on reaching this milestone in his career.
On September 16th, 2015, Van Campen Liem celebrated its move to a new prestigious office building in Luxembourg at Boulevard Joseph II, nr 23.
The opening ceremony hosted the exposition of the emergent artist Claudiu Nicola as well as the exceptional presentation of certain sculptures of Alberto Giacometti (1901 – 1966), one of the most renowned sculptors of the 20th century.

Van Campen Liem Luxembourg has been steadily growing since its start in 2013. In particular, in the last few weeks three important additions have further strengthened the Luxembourg investment fund and corporate/M&A departments to support the continuous growth of business and to expand the client servicing. They are Jérémy Muszkatblit, Andrea Carstoiu and Rocío García-Santiuste.
Jérémy Muszkatblit with over 9 years of experience within the investment fund industry in Luxembourg, is joining as a Counsel. Prior to joining Van Campen Liem, Jérémy worked for a top tier Luxembourg law firm as well as for the Luxembourg office of a leading US law firm. He is regularly involved in the setting-up of Private Equity, Real-Estate and Hedge Funds as well as assets servicing matters in general. He demonstrates a solid expertise on every aspect of the fund lifecycles, including notably investment strategies matters, corporate governance issues, regulatory matters and AIFMD compliance. Jérémy is also involved in typical distribution and marketing matters both in relation to funds and other financial services.
Andrea Carstoiu, focuses on corporate matters including M&A, private equity deals, cross-border transactions, corporate restructurings and insolvency related matters. She has previously worked for very reputable Luxembourg and Paris law firms. She holds an LL.M in business law from the Humboldt University of Berlin (summa cum laude) as well as an LL.M. Eur. in European business law from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU). She is co-author of the Luxembourg Chapter of the Corporate Governance Review edited by Willem Calkoen.
Rocío García-Santiuste has solid experience in the formation and ongoing advice of alternative investment funds in Luxembourg, with a special focus on private equity and real estate. She is actively involved in the funds’ related regulatory and compliance matters. Rocío advises her clients in respect of AIFMD aspects and notably the structuring of their Luxembourg based AIFMs as well as their cross border distribution schemes. She holds an joint LL.M in European Transnational Trade Law and Finance from the universities of Tilburg (The Netherlands), Strasbourg (France) and Deusto (Spain).
