Van Campen Liem has assisted Autogrill with the sale of the AC restaurants and hotels operated at 18 locations in the Netherlands to Gr8 Investments B.V., a company associated with the Van der Valk group.
Autogrill’s core activities comprise the operation of food and beverage service locations for travelers. In pursuance of Autogrill’s intention to shift its business focus away from the operation of roadside restaurants and hotels, Autogrill has sold its AC restaurants and hotels portfolio, comprising 7 hotel-restaurant combinations, 11 AC restaurants and several franchise based operations – such as Burger King and Domino’s Pizza – to Gr8 Investments B.V.
Gr8 Investments B.V. is controlled by members of the Van der Valk family and is therefore closely associated with the Van der Valk Group, which operates close to 100 hotels and restaurants throughout the Netherlands.
The sale of the AC restaurants and hotels was effected through a share deal encompassing the sale of 100% of the shares in three Dutch entities housing the AC restaurant and hotel business.
The Van Campen Liem team consisted of Marcello Distaso, Arjen Mulderije, Sophie de Mandt and Ruby Vinkesteijn.
